Spelling

Spelling errors in Topic names or even the Category names will make members think this is a unreliable Forum. Check spelling correctly as this will make members want to join your forum.

Spam

No one likes spam on Forums, So to reduce this simply post in the right Category > Forum > Topic, and stay on topic by talking about that specific one. Don`t just spam it by writing "Hello" if you are talking about Animals for Example. And don`t do a post where you start writing like this
"Hello my name is

DJ Techy" Like that no one will Join your Forum and this will only cause more members to post more Spam. And don`t just post Smiley`s in your post as that is classed as Spam.

Control

Make sure you know the basic`s of a Forum, by making Category`s and making Forums. If you know how to do that then you will have to know how to set the permission for each Category and Forum. Don`t set the "Guests" Permission to anything apart from letting them see the whole Forum it self. For Members just set there permission to Normal, and Moderators set that to Basic Moderator, just Locking and Moving Topics, Or for Your Global Moderators, Set it to Top so they have Permission like a Admin but they can`t access the Admin Panel.
Now if you really want another Admin helping you out, make sure you pick someone who knows about the Forum and the Admin Control panel. Don`t just pick someone because they are your friend or they say they know what to do.

Don`t be desperate

If you are Desperate for members don`t say they can be a Mod if they join, as that way people know you are desperate for members and will not join, but if they do know your desperate for members and you say they can be a Mod they might destroy your Forum.

Hope this helped 8-)
